Actually, the Kamikaze's primaries aren't as big as they look. The metal's quite thick. Rumor has it that their advantage lies in their primary's short length.

Nope. But I did work on a car that does. As I had heard they weren't as big as they looked, I measured the wall thickness while the header was off the car. I don't have the numbers in front of me, but I remember they were a bit thicker than I expected.

I should also add that the fit wasn't that good. The exhaust system had to be moved forward almost an inch as the A-pipe was too short.

Crom,
I have the RSR 4-2-1. I don't know about the 4-1 RSR you're talking about. Did you say that this RSR is good for an 8psi application? Is the leading candidate for an 8psi header the Kamikaze and the DC 4-2-1 one-piece?

RSR does not have a 4-1 application.

My friend has a DC 4-1...with the stock pulley and just bolt-ons(Iceman Intake/DC Exaust) he dynoed at 224 at the wheels on a dynojet...so I would think that the DC 4-1 is a good header to use??

I'm sure if he tried the 4.2.1 that he would gain more power. The 4.1 has smaller pipes, and doesn't work as well. We are not talking about night and day, but the 4.2.1 does make more power with the average FI Honda.

oh, i thought the RSR was 4-1, my bad...oh well, the 4-2-1 is the best, getting a Kamikaze, so we will see, and no the Kamikaze isnt a 4-2-1, it is a 4-1, but shorter primaries than the other 4-1's and it is cheap as crap...
Fill me in on the Kamikaze shortness problem if you will.....

The guy on the dyno center got 225 wheel hp with the DC 4-1 and it just seems to make sense to me (although I still have a lot to learn), that a 4-1 would be ideally suited for the 8psi setup, and more so with the exhaust requirements of cam gears.
What do you think?
